melthebell
Nothing to do with brewery the woman who runs it is the tenant she sets the prices The customers allow it to continue as a viable business, if they all had a week off, perhaps the prices would become more realistic! yeah right, the licensee price according to what they have to pay the pubco in rent/stock etc etc with a tiny bit on top, if people stopped going most likely the pubco would get another tenent in eventually at a similer price.........or like taxman said eventually seel the pub for flats or a car park

Goon
Heeley - either Sheaf or White Lion, cider & beer c£7-odd Most pubs in town? Depends what you drink in the Sheaf. The ale pumps contain fine real ale at a very reasonable price. In fact, a couple of years ago I remarked to the manager about the lack of variety of breweries recently. He told me to watch this space as he had refused to buy from certain breweries as, due to their price hikes, he was unable to offer his customers the same reasonable prices they were used to. The breweries soon relented. Some of the draught lagers and cider are very expensive but they would be expensive wherever you bought them from. The White Lion is expensive but it is a fine pub to drink in.
