Chris_Sleeps
Orange filtering their service is not the same as the state imposing a filter on everyone. ---------- Post added 23-07-2013 at 09:37 ---------- Its rape & beheadings that will also be filtered and that can only be a good thing. Surely people into that will switch the filter off. No?

No? Its the 'states' responsibility to protect children. I really cant see why people have a problem with that. They arent banning porn. They are simply saying that you have to turn off the filter. Google, Yahoo, Apple, Firefox, BT, Orange etc etc .........All have one.

When did that responsibility move from parents to the state? Whatever happened to: "Parents - you are responsible for your children?"

Whatever happened to: "Parents - you are responsible for your children?" Most parents wouldnt have a clue about how to turn on a filter or firewalls etc You obviously have an issue with government that seems to be clouding your judgement on whats right here. Maybe you should start a rally to Downing Street. The chants would be interesting..... "WHAT DO WE WANT? PORN!.....WHEN DO WE WANT IT? NOW!" "WE WANT THE RIGHT TO WATCH A FIGHT" That sort of thing! Chris_Sleeps
I'd prefer the chant: "What do we want? Properly thought out policy that actually works, and sensible policing - not reactionary useless gestures." It's catchy. It might take off. Clown Shoes
Im really struggling to see what the issue is here. All you have to do if you want to watch porn is click on the filter & select 'disable' If your an adult you wont have to put in a pin number and you can have all the fun you like. And if your 13 yrs old you cant be sent links to journalists getting their head cut off with a blunt knife by a man in a ski mask by naughty kids at school, trolls or 52 yr old men. its a no brainer for me! Cant do any harm though can it and you dont know till you try. And if it stops just one child seeing violent content or sexual assault then its all ready paid for itself. Have a can do attitude!
