Would you vote to install a popular land owning family as royalty, and set up a hereditary monarchy? I'm not speaking for all royalists (I tried to show how royalists differ but it fell on deaf ears) but if we had a president who was as inoffensive as the last few monarchs had been (maybe generate money somehow - bit of mini cabbing ?) I have no doubt that your knowledge of Ireland is immense thus allowing you to be able to make that statement with authority. One thing it does have to offer is equality, everyone is considered to be equal. don't suppose that would appeal to you would it? It's that servile gene you know. descent from a thousand years of ancestors who spent most of their time on their knees will leave you with that condition. I don't know I haven't seen any candidates yet, and I'm not a socialist so your question wasn't for me. As much as I hate David Cameron right to his core I'd rather have President Dave than Queen Liz any day, yes. No more or less embarrassing than having him as Prime Minister.
