Obelix
Now then.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-23402889 If this had happened here, then we'd have had hours of delays... there would have been the investigation because Somone Must be to Blame, we would have needed the relevant experts who are the only ones who are allowed to even look at a train, let alone push one aside... Once out then there Must be and Inspection first... and then we Must have en Enquiry. This will probably mean that More Edges Must be Painted White, and we must have Knobbly Bits for those who have sight issues, and a Man with a Red Flag and a Whistle to walk in front for the train at platforms... But the Japanese seem to have perhaps a little more pragmatic approach..
Pixie824
Over here, there's too many people that would have been standing there taking pictures of her on their mobile phones. Glad to hear she had no major injuries and the most sensible course of action seemed to be taken!

Yeah, finding out how to stop more people falling under trains is such an ass backwards idea. But it's not just the trains, we'll be spending thousands of pounds pointlessly trying to stop planes from catching fire after the thing at Heathrow the other week. Complete waste of money in my eyes - nobody died so it can't be a serious problem and they should just write it down as being a hot day and build a hospital with the money instead. chem1st
The gaps between our trains and the platform can be big enough to squeeze down in many stations for most people. People over here have been know to lift cars off of people to free them, I recall also people moving a bus to free tapped person.

I agree and well done to all involved, over here if that had been suggested they'd have been spouting H & S laws for hours 1st.
