bluecanary Posted August 3, 2013 Share Posted August 3, 2013 Have been loyal customers for years, so slightly dismayed to see a notice on the door saying it was delivery only during a "refurbishment". Rang last night to place our usual order which we normally collect 90 minutes in advance of when we wanted it. Got diverted to a mobile phone with apparent chaos going on in the background. 90 minutes later andno sign of our order. It eventually turned up 20 minutes late with items missing. When we phoned to complain, we were in ited to drive to Ecclesall Road to collect, thouh we were offered a discount on future orders. Doubt we'll be taking this offer up, though as one of our regular dishes was unrecognisable, but edible, but he other was so bad it went straight in the bin? South sea Posted September 7, 2013 Share Posted September 7, 2013 we were told, don't know if its true, that manzils moved cos the owners of the broomhill complex have tried charging them and the other businesses £12,000 each for the work which was done on the rooftop car park above them. the hardware shop was also seemingly bullied out by sainsburys and it was strange that the internet café closed over night and costa moved in very shortly after. looks like the corporates are being chosen over local businesses who have been there for years, the way the world of business is going unfortunately.
