Rupert_Baehr
You are of course correct. I am not English either. ---------- Post added 11-08-2013 at 12:36 ---------- I completely agree. I often work in Cheltenham, the WAITROSE there is very large and full of A1 people who say "excuse me" before entering your space. Cheltenham is very well sectioned; in the city where the word CHAV was invented - they keep them up the other end of the town where the sun don't shine! A bit like Switzerland then? joshua123
Rupert - you've insinuated again I am not English? For I am as English as a red rose, as British as the UNION JACK and as proud as a LION! GOD SAVE THE QUEEN and all those who serve her!
Mecky
Despite the sharp fall of UK wages http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-23655605 which is in stark contrast to what George "Grub Bank" Osborne said when he claimed income had risen despite the evidence confirming sharp falls, it seems quite a few more people will be shopping at Aldi Edited August 11, 2013 by Mecky

maverick
I went to Aldi today after work. I've not been before. I needed some mushrooms and some white wine. The mushrooms were about 25p cheaper than what I usually pay in Tesco and tasted nice. The wine was under a fiver and tasted nice. I saw Warburtons toasty loaf for £1, that's £1.35 in Tesco! Some woman customer in the wine section chatted to me - she seemed nice - and said that the eggs there are great, they're £1 for 6 large free range eggs! Then, some man in the till queue was telling me that the fresh produce and fresh meat were all well priced and delicious at Aldi, he also suggested I give their ready meal curries a try, they are okay not delicious bu are very cheap he said. It was a surprisingly social experience! I am defo going back at the weekend to do a shop. What do other people on here think of Aldi? Any recommendations for things to put in my basket there? WallBuilder
I buy my teacakes from Aldi and mild red cheddar because the price is good. Their long life orange juice is nice and I often pick up other bits as I wander round, got a really good lump hammer last week for example. The range of products isn't huge but with an Aldi, Lidl and farmfoods within walking range my days of shopping at a big supermarket which sells everything I need under one roof is becoming a rarity. alchresearch
Aldi do their own version of delicious Toffypops but called "Toffyooze" which is a bit offputting but taste the same.
