byeo
Because the odds of winning the jackpot on the National Lottery are about 14 million to 1 whilst the odds of winning the jackpot on Euromillions are about 116 million to 1? Both are a tax on the poor. Tax is mandatory, the lotto is not...
gluedtopc
I think four numbers only paid out around£40 last Saturday.
Rupert_Baehr
I remember when the price of a pint of Ward's rose above 33p. People in my local were saying: "That's it! - If you can't get 3 pints for a quid, I'll stop drinking beer." It didn't happen, though, did it? Bypassblade
I've had an e-mail from the National Lottery that as from the 5th of October, it will cost £2 a go instead of the present £1. That's me done. They've left that late I found out about this back in March, it's a disgrace we need someone else running the Lottery now. I was told by the bloke at work that runs our syndicate that he was stopping it in October, as it was going to £2.
margarete
My favourite is Lotto and Plus 5. It costs £2 but you get 6 chances of a win for that £2. Disappointingly for me, when they double the lowest entry to £2 instead of £1, the Lotto and Plus 5 will no longer be one of the games on offer. Rupert_Baehr
If you play more than one number, surely you're betting against yourself? - They can't both win the jackpot.
Bypassblade
So, you only play one number in your syndicate?? You daft on a purpose, my post doesn't even begin to suggest that no he told me that it was going up to 2 quid & felt it was a rip off, hence he would not continue with the syndicate.
