Jeffrey Shaw
Even the Judge was wrong. "Messiah" is not a forename at all- so it cannot be ascribed to one individual as such. It derives from the Hebrew 'Moshiach' [= 'anointed']. In the Five Books of Moses it's usually an adjective applied to the Kohen Gadol [= 'High Priest']. But the Greek for Messiah is 'Christos'- hence the potential for confusion.
