Mrs Overall
My hubby says we don't need a CM detector as we've only got a gas hob in our house. We have a combi boiler in the loft?..I thought we would still need one as we use the gas hob..

Both will be well ventilated, and you can see if the gas hob is burning correctly whilst using it, it should be a blue flame, if its yellow or orange don't use it and have it checked. Allen
I don't know about NEED one...... Having recently had a new gas boiler fitted though, the installer never mentioned any legal requirement for him to fit one. On the other hand...it was a legal requirement when I had the wood burning stove fitted.
cgksheff
There is no legal requirement other than with new installations of wood burning/multi-fuel stoves.
