tinfoilhat
Won't be a lot of jobs though will it? That said there is quite a gap between Woodall and Woolley edge compared with the rest of the m1.

s2 blade
It.s only 15 mile to woolley edge services northbound whats the point of one at sheffield. Because people on a long journey might not want to wait the 27miles between service stations at Woodhall and Woolley edge . Do you think that could be the point ? ---------- Post added 21-08-2013 at 21:09 ---------- What a stupid idea. Why's that then ? Is the creation of jobs that stupid ? The convenience of not having to travel 27 miles miles between services ? ---------- Post added 21-08-2013 at 21:10 ---------- What will it be,im guessing around 27 miles. :hihi: you do make me laugh gazza ---------- Post added 21-08-2013 at 21:11 ---------- Won't be a lot of jobs though will it? That said there is quite a gap between Woodall and Woolley edge compared with the rest of the m1. If its 50 jobs that's 50 people of the dole . Can only be a good thing
Smilie
Somebody has not done their homework. The HS2 line goes straight through the site of this service area.

geared
Somebody has not done their homework. The HS2 line goes straight through the site of this service area. My thoughts exactly, they 'might' be able to squeeze it in there, but the intelligent thing to do would to not allow any planning near the proposed route because it will most certainly present a problem in the future. However the HS2 route is not guaranteed to come to Sheffield, the route to Leeds is only a maybe IIRC.
Squiggs
AT LAST! Thank GOD! At the moment we have to drive all the way up to Junction 36 where there is, 1 mile from the junction, fuel, a MuckDonalds, Taybarns and a Premier Inn, catering for eating (of sorts), refueling, resting and sleeping. It's been fine for HGVs for years It will be so great not to have to make that arduous trek
slh73
Brilliant, right next door to where I work. So thats more roadworks, and more traffic for god knows how long. Also, the woods there have kestrels and buzzards nesting in them, we regularly see them hovering around, as well as other birds and wildlife. Would be a real shame to lose it.
