You're both on wrong counts, latter laws take precedence over former laws so killing a swan isn't treason, and nobody can be sentenced to death for no reason ever in England, so wrong there as well. You're both on wrong counts, latter laws take precedence over former laws so killing a swan isn't treason, and nobody can be sentenced to death for no reason ever in England, so wrong there as well. The death penalty was removed from UK law (NB: not just England's) purely because the UK was bullied into it by demands from the EU, ECHR, or UN- I can't recall which it was, but either way the demands of the bully ought to have been refused on principle.
