lubylou
hi, im wanting to hire a skip, nothing too big, just for some old wardrobes etc, which have been chopped down, do you think it would be cheaper to hire a man and van to take them away for me? only ive heard that skips can be really expensive these days:|

katas
HI the last one i had was a 5tonne i think and that was £95 from M White. plus they were very prompt at delivering and picking back up.
katas
The good thing about a skip is while its there you can have a good clear out, and take your time doing it. You can have the skip for quite a while and still only pay the one price. Or one good idea is to see if a neighbour would like to go halves with you and then you can both have a clear out. samstar999
Careful if you do have it hanging around for a while ... as you may find that everyone on the street has the same idea and overnight it gets filled up with other people's rubbish! Cheeky. And free for them!

tas1
We use Bradwells - prompt service, and they'll drop a skip at the weekend. Recently moved house so we've had one at old, and one at new when we skipped some of the built in wardrobes tc.... At old, we part filled it, next day few things gone. Skipped everything else next day. And following day - more stuff gone. Day after there was about one card board box left. I actually rang Bradwells up, in case they'd thought they were supposed to pick it up, but had the wrong address!
