sedith
My mum use to take me to harringtons to my jeans. I can remember how pushy sales people were there, did anyone else experience changing in the stock room above where you had to climb a ladder? Yeh I remember that! Their shirts were never quite long enough and lasted for at the most 3 washes before they chucked in the bin
TFI THURSDAY
Always bought my jeans from there and all the girls used to fancy the lads who worked there.

hauxwell
Does any one remember Violet's tea stall in Castle Market. I thought violet was a lovely women. She use to give me discount when I use to buy sandwiches to take out. That was in the 60's. I wonder what happened to her? Does any one know if there are any photos of castle market in the 60's. abbeyedges
I always thought the 'Harrington jacket' which was popular in the 70's was named after this shop.
