Jamie Oliver Says British Workers 'Whinge'

Recommended Posts

Neither is he. He is merely stating an opinion that a lot share. If you watched the One Show this evening it was debated around the streets of Newcastle and his point pretty much proved when an unemployed youth said he wouldn't do the type of work Oliver was talking about.

Quite impossible, i don't watch tv. Probably one of the reasons i care little what the idiot says.

I didn't say i'd never watched tv, but people like him are the reason i haven't for several years. He's seeking publicity, nothing more, and i wont be a party to it.

You seem to be taking a lot of your time to discuss someone you know so little about.

yep public school boy done good ey :)

'Oliver left school at age sixteen with two GCSE qualifications[4] and went on to attend Westminster Kingsway College, formerly Westminster College.[1][5] He then earned a City & Guilds National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in home economics.'http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Oliver

I somehow think his work ethic has had more to do with his success than his education. Whatever people think of him personally, he's an employer in the catering/hospitality industry and will have an insight into how various groups of employees perform. I have no doubt he worked long hours when he was starting out, its what trainee chefs do.
