emma royd Posted December 31, 2013 Share Posted December 31, 2013 World War III. I'm thinking a lot of things changed on 9/11. I don't think the Yanks would lift a finger to help now. They seemed reluctant to provide help in Libya and ran out of allies in Syria. I'm not sure that Russia would intervene on behalf of a state that attacked America any more, and I'm sure that America would no longer come to the aid of a terrorist sponsor who was attacked by Russia. The world has become a safer place now the superpowers aren't about to blast one another, but that does rather free them up to blast anyone else. Now there's a thought. What if the USA and Russia decided it was better to take on the terror states before they got hold of nukes themselves. In fact thinking about it. Before WW2 there were Nazis in the UK and appeasers who said the Nazis would not harm us. But when it came to it they were wrong and a war was inevitable. But Russia, the USA and Britain found they had a common enemy, just like they had in WW1, and despite ideological differences put that on one side and flattened the enemy.
