Pink2Bubble Posted August 29, 2013 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Its been a busy pre season but finally the time everyone has been waiting for is here...the start of the Sunday football season! We have had some big changes to our squad over the summer with a quality keeper joining just in time for our first friendly. We Came back late in June and took a squad of players to a first friendly to stretch the legs at the end of the month after only 2 training sessions. Since then, we have grown in strength to the point where it is difficult to name a 16 for the first game. We have players across the park that have come together well as we look to have a successful season. Again, players work different shifts so we will not be able to have a settled starting side so places are constantly up for grabs every week. We begin at home on Herdings Park against The Abbey, kicking off at 11am. In the Junior Challenge Cup we have been handed a tough draw away to Cobden View on the 15th at Niagara Sports Ground and will play Chapeltown Prince in the League Cup first round, date TBC. All our fixtures are on a sticky thread in our section and updated as and when they are added. Good luck to all teams for the season on this forum, unless you come up against us! Not long to go now!! We have just recently started our football team up (aged 21-30) as we are a company.
