Uptowngirl
Its been an unusually hot summer this year; in a week or two this will be a total non issue. I'm not sure about a non issue. If it can focus light enough to melt a car I'm not sure what it would do to the vision of drivers on that stretch of road, or do you consider someone blinded by the light knocking down a bunch of kids a non issue too? Andy
It gets worse: Ali Akay, of nearby Re Style barber's, said the position of the sun at a certain time of the day caused a searing bolt of sunlight to start a small fire and burn a hole in his company doormat. "We were working and just saw the smoke coming out of the carpet. We tried to cut the fire down, there were customers in at the time and they were obviously not happy," he said. "Customers are not going to come in if there is a fire in the front of the door." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-23948811 On the bright side, Mr Akay has reduced his central heating bill by half

Andy
They tried to cut the fire down? It was a close shave. ---------- Post added 04-09-2013 at 19:36 ---------- I'm afraid it's from the Daily Mail, but there's a picture of the inferno slightly singed doormat here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2409710/Walkie-Talkie-building-melting-bicycles-Light-reflected-construction-City-skyscraper-scorches-seat.html
