Almosthuman
Hey all Looking to discover some new talent. Not really had a look into the sheffield scene for ages but there used to be some cracking acts out there. Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations? I'm mainly an Indie blues fan but i'll listen to owt really Cheers

Grappler
Roaming Son are like a mix of The Pirates, Dr. Feelgood, the Stray Cats. The Blackbirds remind me of early White Stripes/Black Keys. The Clench are like a rock n roll/rockabilly/americana version of a spaghetti western theme tune. Mudcats Blues Trio remind me of early Led Zep mixed with heavy blues rock. Just my observations so you would have to make your own mind up when you go and see them! Just remembered another, Banned from Reno, mix of originals and covers. Check 'em out! South sea
The south sea is a new addition to the Sheffield music scene bringing quality out of town artists to the city as well as local up and comings...heres the link to what on in the next couple of months, im sure there will be something for you. My favourite line up is on the 10th Oct (thurs) when we have Marina Zettl (Austria) supported by Selina Piggott from Belfast. A night of pure quality. Go check em out. http://www.facebook.com/southsealive/events
