Flanker7
Sorry to mislead you. Only Junior parkrun's are on sundays at 9am over a 2k distance. Organised woodland/park Night runs seem to be appearing all over. Like those on National trust properties. They seem to be lots of fun with a string of cycle headlights bobbing along in front and behind you. I'm not sure of your level but there are numerous starter/improver groups like 'Couch to 5k' that generally do their sessions on weekday evening's. I will root out some contact details and re-post with detail soon. Anyone with more info please post here

We shall have to wait until kids trampolining has ended!
Flanker7
Sheffield & Rotherham parkrun attendances for 4th & 5th February 2017. 95 - Concord 237 - Graves 124 - Graves-Juniors 352 - Hillsborough, New Attendance Record +54 47 - Castle 738 - Hallam, New Attendance Record +13 Total - 1,593 285 - Rother Valley 72 - Clifton Park Total - 357 Overall total = 1,950 A happy coincidence helped us post record totals this week. Hillsborough's 4th Birthday Bash added a massive 54 to their record and smashed through the 300 mark too. Jessica Ennis-Hill's attendance at Hallam to launch the parkrun/Vitality partnership boosted numbers there too. Starter and improver groups in the area:- Couch to 5k/wellbeing/confidence/pub (+ beyond...) achorste
Hi Do you do any park runs during the week ? As struggle with Saturday mornings, ? Hi Beth, Park run is an international organisation and (nearly) all of the runs around the the world are on Saturday mornings (with the exception of Christmas day, New Years day additional runs etc). I don't think the time varies much either. There are however a great number of running clubs in the Sheffield area who organise group runs. It depends on which area you like to run in, but there's sure to be a group running near you. (I would recommend Steel City Striders as it's my club, but I'm sure the others are nearly as good )
Flanker7
Sheffield & Rotherham parkrun attendances for 18th & 19th February 2017. 87 - Concord 239 - Graves 116 - Graves-Juniors 294 - Hillsborough 48 - Castle 723 - Hallam Total - 1,507 277 - Rother Valley 81 - Clifton Park Total - 358 Overall total = 1,865 Sorry* Beth the 443 UK parkruns run on a formula of 5 simple things that never change. 1. Saturday at 09:00 (9:30 in N.Ireland & Scotland) 2. 5k distance 3. Timed 4. A local cafe for socialisation 5. Free forever. *It is possible to register, obtain a personal record and then complete 'freedom' runs on any parkrun course. The 'freedom' run can be completed on any day at any time. In truth they will never be the same as the parkrun experience but it will enable you to compare times with the Saturday at 09:00 runners. ---------- Post added 27-02-2017 at 08:20 ---------- Sheffield & Rotherham parkrun attendances for 25th & 26th February 2017. 82 - Concord 216 - Graves 140 - Graves-Juniors, New Attendance Record +7 217 - Hillsborough 54 - Castle 560 - Hallam Total - 1,269 239 - Rother Valley 64 - Clifton Park Total - 303 Overall total = 1,562 This is the last time we will see the parkrun Points tables which are being discontinued. Personally I would like to see 1 point awarded for each run in the parkrun year, irrespective of finishing position. If this method were used at Hallam, not forgetting Rizni Marzook, incredibly in the woman's table Hera Oskarsdottir(Junior) would jump from 832nd to 1st with 29 runs and 0 points! At Graves, Roger Knightley would jump from 658th to 1st, 45 runs, 62 points. ---------- Post added 06-03-2017 at 08:14 ---------- Sheffield & Rotherham parkrun attendances for 4th & 5th March 2017. 72 - Concord 249 - Graves 134 - Graves-Juniors 235 - Hillsborough 53 - Castle 618 - Hallam Total - 1,361 238 - Rother Valley 91 - Clifton Park Total - 329 Overall total = 1,690 Edited February 27, 2017 by Flanker7
jemson
We did the junior run at Graves for the first time. Chilly 4 degrees and some drugs testing might be needed; I`m not sure how the marshalls managed to be so cheerful at that time on a Sunday in that weather! Whoosh77
Hi Beth Maybe this link can help you find a group to run with. It's from a search I did for S35 on the RunTogether website. RunTogether was created by England Athletics and lists runs from all over the country. You can register and tick to attend any group run you would like to do. https://runtogether.co.uk/groups/find-a-runtogether-group-run/?location=S35
Flanker7
Sheffield & Rotherham parkrun attendances for 11th & 12th March 2017. 103 - Concord, 7th highest attendance 211 - Graves 143 - Graves-Juniors, New Attendance Record +3 282 - Hillsborough, 5th highest attendance 90 - Castle, 2nd highest attendance 782 - Hallam, New Attendance Record +44 Total - 1,611 286 - Rother Valley, 4th highest attendance 87 - Clifton Park, 7th highest attendance Total - 373 Overall total = 1,984 A bumper turnout in almost perfect running conditions gave us a new record total only 16 short of the 2k benchmark. Graves attendance appears to have been subdued by the Grindleford Gallopers. Hallam's attendance was 3rd highest in the country:- http://www.elliottline.com/parkrun/2017/3/12/uk-parkrun-attendance-11th-march-2017
