Car Boot
The BBC is still the best broadcaster in the world and gives outstanding value for money. The BBC does not give outstanding value for money when it wastes £millions on not fit for purpose IT systems and corrupt payoffs to senior executives. Far from it. Ela James
From the BBC to RBS, we have to find a way to stop this injustice http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/sep/05/bbc-rbs-stop-injustice-public-money
Car Boot
Isn't there a specialist tedious forum for people like you to do your whining? Attacking corporate fraud and cronyism at the BBC is not whining. You seem more concerned with the public image of the BBC than how it spends the licence fee payer's hard earned money. Just like the corrupt BBC Trust.
Happ Hazzard
The BBC is still the best broadcaster in the world and gives outstanding value for money. Rubbish. What about HBO, Showtime and AMC? All have tiny budget compared to the BBC yet produce the best TV programmes in the world. Meanwhile the BBC has the biggest budget in the world and churns out 99% dross and 1% second rate programming.

Vague_Boy
And yet 10% of all court cases in this country are due to non-payment of tv licence. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/bbc/10256679/TV-licence-offences-account-for-one-in-ten-UK-court-cases.html Non sequitur. While it’s technologically possible to detect emissions from television sets, some believe that the switch to LCD-based hardware, and the omnipresence of non-televisual computer monitors, has now made effective detection logistically unlikely—if there was ever a serious detection program in the first place. Mostly it's Capita goons knocking on doors of addresses that aren't listed as having a licence. Some people say the BBC is a leftist organisation, so you can tell which why the debate is going to go on here | | V Party politics, yaaaaawwwn. Interesting you took that line though
