But, personally I would have reservations in respect of the caustic effect on the rubber seals in the traps.It can be very corrosive. Also, (and I’m not sure why this happens), but depending on how caustic soda is mixed it can solidify instead of dissolving and this could potentially block pipes even more so. If you want to risk using it, do make sure it is mixed and dissolved propery prior to applying it to the area. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
