GLASGOWOODS
Is this what Sheffield Forum has come to? He's nicked that paragraph out of John Majors biography.
tinfoilhat
i've got a good berghaus jacket. rubberised waterproof trousers and own brand Decathlon walking boots and i can go out with the dog in any weather and stay totally dry. apart from the jacket which wasn't cheap, the trousers were around £10 and the boots £40. i dont see any need to be cold, wet and miserable. I'm not sure I'd fancy tramping through town in that lot though. That's where I get rained on most - town centres and supermarket car parks, which is why I got rained on today. Not the end of the world and I'd rather get a bit wet in the car park than get sweaty in a supermarket.

Ghozer
Maybe like me, they can't afford a rain coat that actually keeps you dry.. Instead they buy a cheaper one, end up wet anyway, and miserable. So they just don't bother..
