They are usually seen on rusty elderly VW Golf's driven by teenagers. Removing the front number plate and sticking it inside on the nearside, front window usually accompanies this practice.

Some people find them stylish so doesn't matter if they work or not. What about people who hang teddies from the towing eye, why do people do that? Because people want to do show their own personality.

 

Personally I love adding lights to things and I've added them to jsut about everything possible (Garden bench, my wheelchair, my car and even my bed and window blinds).
