Fareast
I wonder how old the hostages were ? Perhaps his wife, of a similar age and wife 's boyfriend ?[ " Now come on, Hank, put that gun down and have a nice cup of cawfee.........if you don 't mind, I wanna finish knitting these socks for your mother. " ] Whatever, I hope I have the energy left, if I live to be 107 years-old to pick up a gun , never mind have a shoot-out with the Old Bill. geared
Old enough to have memories of it. What does he remember of it? Long lazy warm summer days in the baking Sun of Arkansas, going to the train station to wave goodbye to leaving troops? It's not like he had to live through the Blitz over in America. Happ Hazzard
He was almost old enough to have been in the wild west. He WAS old enough to have been a young adult at the time of Bonnie and Clyde, Pretty Boy Floyd, John Dillinger etc.
Gleadly
It's the last thing one could expect of anyone let a 107 YO. The shootout is norm in the US but a 107 YO??? I'm surprised he could even pull the trigger.
alchemist
Why is it unbelievable? He held 2 other people at gunpoint, the police tried to use non-lethals and the guy began firing at officers who returned fire. Those are the facts and the only ones relevant. I think whats unbelievable is that they allowed a 107 year old to HAVE a gun!!! Still, it IS america!!
Happ Hazzard
Why shouldn't a 107 year old have a gun? People at that age are even more at risk of being the victims of crime, they aren't physically able to fight back. A gun evens the odds.
