wagginfinger
have any other forum members in Sheffield been charged £28 to amend the address on a motor policy (nothing to do with post codes)--the policy has only about 5 weeks to run---I suggested cancelling the policy and starting again but the company "Hastings Direct" said that would be another £55 -- must have notified dozens of other companies about the change of address and have not been charged anything---daylight robbery? yorkiepudd
Just had same with Hastings. Wanted a £20 renewal fee!!!!!! Errr you want me to pay you for being a loyal customer. I don't think so! Just rang up to cancel the renewal and they waived the charge then.

mrs patching
I had to pay four charges. Change of job, change of address, change of number plate and new car. Daylight robbery.
scottf
Change of address could mean you move to a higher "risk" area- hence the increase?
