Steve70 Posted September 9, 2013 Share Posted September 9, 2013 Once again the Octagon centre was the venue for one of the countries most prestigious kickboxing / Thai boxing shows - Showdown 13 With over 17 fights and a 4 man tournament winner takes all . 2000 spectators added to the atmosphere and There were world titles at stake a well as British and area titles Sheffield was well represented by the likes of Wicker Camp, Sheffield Academy of Martial arts, Bodyflo, S18 gym, Yorkshire MKA as well as clubs from Ireland and Portugal were competing . Home grown fighters : Jillian Corbett from wicker camp won a British title Andy Farrow from Sheffield Academy of Martial arts won an Area K1 title. Christian DiPaolo won his prestigious pro fight against Bruno Santos from Portugal What a Night 'A fighter knows he's made it when he steps out in to the Octagon , going back to small shows and back street promotions isn't the same' said one fighter Well done to the promoters and the fighters great show Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
