wileEcoyote
Hello I am looking for a room I could use to host a small poker tournament up to a maximum of 20 people. We would only need room for a couple of tables and we would possibly be interested in catering for this too. I ran one in hillsborough around 6 months ago and it went really well with 18 players but it would be nice if we could find a venue in town as we always end up going there after. I would also like to make this a regular event say every 4-6 months if possible and the people who would attand are all friends so it is not a publicised or advertised tournament just a group of friends trying to organize a regular(ish) poker night . No money is changed hands on the night and there is only ever poker chips on the table so we would not be falling foul of the gambling act. If you can let me know some prices for the room(preferably free:) and catering that would be great. I am looking at the 12th of October 2013 and we would need the room between 5 and 12pm. Anywhere in the s1 and surrounding areas is fine Thanks Craig
jamesogt
Why not just have it at Grosvenor Casino? Pay a little each and get dealers, chips etc all thrown in. Then after if anyone wanted to play for money they could move on to one of the cash tables....
wileEcoyote
Hi James I did think about that the other day actually but we wanted somewhere we could maybe get a takeaway in and the drink price is ridiculous Could you do a drink deal or anything like that? Maybe you could pm me with some details or a number I could contact you on so we can have a chat about it Cheers Craig

There is a full menu with bar snacks starting around £6, again cheaper than some of the items on the afore mentioned pub chains menu!
