dmellor2
Morning! Having moved to the area from the flatter Manchester area I'm really enjoying the challenges of the hills around Dronfield but I'm in need of some decent flat to mix into my running training. With the geography around these parts I was thinking it would have to be somewhere around a river/lake/canal but a running track would also be an option. A check on Google makes it look like there is a running track at Graves gym but not too sure if you have to pay to use that. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The nearer the better as I want to be able to run and go without a 20min hike in the car. Cheers

Waldo
http://www.gps-routes.co.uk/routes/home.nsf/routeslinkswalks/dronfield-2000-rotary-walk-walking-route Some bits may not be flat! If you're willing to drive out to the peaks, try Monsal Trail or Tissington Trail. Both are ex-railway lines, so lovely and flat..
dmellor2
Cheers - some good suggestions. The Ches canal will be the closest option if I want a quick/flat run nearby but the Peaks option would obviously be a nice option as is Rother Valley! Thanks for the Dronfield PM headsup
Winemaster
Dronfield > Meadowhead > Jordanthorpe > Norton > Coal Aston > Dronfield would be fairly flat and a nice circular route too.
