What does "far right" mean anyway?

Or, the NATIONAL front. Now there's a left wing movement if there was ever one.

The mindset (if you can call it that) of the NF was indeed mainly socialist, they hated the Tories and gained most of their support from the white working class., typically estranged Labour supporters.

The idea of fascism being extreme right is mistaken.

Facisim is a construct of the Romans a good couple of milennia before that uppity little corporal got involved.

They just didn't call it facism.

Well before the Romans surely, indeed is it not the fact that democracy is the exception in human history?

No it isn't, you're just fooling around with word meanings.

I realise that the truth is uncomfortable.

Perhaps you'd like to take a break to come to terms with the fact that everything you previously thought of as the darker side of your political opponents, is in fact the darker side of your own positions.

Must be heartbreaking really.

You're still doing it.

Convince me that the UK Conservative party is more authoritarian than the UK Labour party. My own observations are quite the reverse.

I already said that they are both authoritarian.

The case being made is that the BNP and most other supposedly "far right" organisations are in fact hard-line socialists with bigotry added. If you read the BNP manifesto, you'll see that this is the truth.

Bigotry, protectionism, xenophobia, these are right wing policies.

Nationalism with bigotry is fascism.

I would tend to agree with your current definition of fascism. Nothing else though.

Protectionism is the opposite of free trade. It's clearly associated with socialism.

Bigotry and xenophobia are rather hard to separate, so I'll treat them together: Perhaps you'd like to identify a small government, capitalist; party or organisation; which is also authoritarian and/or bigoted.

Why what are you hoping to prove if I do or don't identify such a government?

I would have thought that was obvious.

If there are many more socialist organisations which are bigoted and authoritarian, then QED fascism is more accurately described as a left wing phenomenon. If you can't find any then we needn't bother doing a count.
