Yet another atrocity in the name of god. 3 in a week in Peshawar alone.

An explosion has ripped through a market in the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar, leaving at least 33 dead and dozens wounded, officials say.

Police said a bomb had exploded in the Kissa Khwani market, with shops and vehicles set alight.

The blast comes a week after a double suicide bombing that killed at least 80 people at a church in the city.

On Friday, at least 17 people were killed in the bombing of a bus carrying government employees near Peshawar.

Perhaps its time for a hard line approach. The Russians are causing a storm.

(Reuters) - Russia's senior Islamic clerics warned the country's leaders on Friday unrest could erupt in Muslim communities in Russia and beyond if a court decision ordering the destruction of a interpretive translation of Koran is not overturned.

(Reuters) - Russia's senior Islamic clerics warned the country's leaders on Friday unrest could erupt in Muslim communities in Russia and beyond if a court decision ordering the destruction of a interpretive translation of Koran is not overturned.

If the ruling is acted on, the cleric warned: "There will be unrest ... not only in Russia but all over the world, we are talking about the destruction of the Koran.

They really need to get a grip, its just a book outlining the required for following an extreme ideology, and it should be banned because it advocates violence against non Muslims.

An Islamic television channel based in Britain has been handed a heavy fine for broadcasting a programme which urged Muslims to commit murder in the name of their religion.

Ofcom, the broadcasting regulator, ordered Manchester-based DM Digital to pay an £85,000 fine for a programme which told Muslims it was their duty to kill anyone who insulted the Prophet Mohammed.

Yep definitely the religion of piece.

Only if we ban the Holy Bible at the same time:

"Whoever sacrifices to any god other than the LORD must be destroyed".

Exodus 22:20

If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them. You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people. Stone them to death, because they tried to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

Deuteronomy 13:6-10

If you hear it said about one of the towns the Lord your God is giving you to live in that troublemakers have arisen among you and have led the people of their town astray, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods you have not known), then you must inquire, probe and investigate it thoroughly. And if it is true and it has been proved that this detestable thing has been done among you, you must certainly put to the sword all who live in that town. You must destroy it completely, both its people and its livestock.

Deuteronomy 13:12-16

“If there is found in your midst, in any of your towns, which the Lord your God is giving you, a man or a woman who does what is evil in the sight of the Lord your God, by transgressing His covenant, and has gone and served other gods and worshiped them, or the sun or the moon or any of the heavenly host, which I have not commanded, and if it is told you and you have heard of it, then you shall inquire thoroughly. Behold, if it is true and the thing certain that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, then you shall bring out that man or that woman who has done this evil deed to your gates, that is, the man or the woman, and you shall stone them to death.

Deuteronomy 17:2-7

Anyone who shows contempt for the judge or for the priest who stands ministering there to the Lord your God is to be put to death. You must purge the evil from Israel. All the people will hear and be afraid, and will not be contemptuous again.

Deuteronomy 17:12-13

But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.

Deuteronomy 18:20

Pretty unequivocal stuff.

Can't say I agree with killing livestock because their owners want to worship another god. Man, that's harsh!

I wouldn't have an issue with that.

The more people speak out against religion and point out the flaw in their belief, the more chance there is of people realising it is a load of guff and turning away from it.

We are now coming up to the 4th of November where we "celebrate" the failed plot of a Christian group to blow up the Houses of Parliament along with the King. Every year we "celebrate" the triumph of one Christian group over another by wasting many thousands of pounds on fireworks and that happened in 1605, religious terrorism at its best. Sadly we are all as bad as each other.

I think you missed the point here. The celebration of Bonfire Night is about the discovery and foiling of a terrorist plot. Wouldn't it be good if the attacks of 9/11 which killed thousands of innocent civilians had been foiled and the perpetrators bought to justice without it resulting in mass destruction and death?

If that had happened it would be worth a day of celebration too.

Truly sad. And people like David Cameron say it has nothing to do with religion. To me, that's like saying tea has nothing to do with a cup of tea. Ridiculous!

David cameron is a vote chasing whore, a liar and a moron.
