Happ Hazzard
Well there's not much he can do about that seeing as most of it comes from europe We will be out of the EU soon so that won't be a problem.
Anna B
How did people used to cope before there were benefits? Why can't we do the same as they did? Starvation? Begging? Workhouses? (And people complained about paying for that - tho a lot of people would rather starve (and did) than go in them. Robbery? Take your pick.
WeX
It's just been announced on the Radio 4, 4pm news, that there will no longer be an automatic right to housing benefit and JSA for the under 25s. I suggest you all go on radio iplayer or listen to the 5pm headlines on Radio 4. bbc radio 5 PM program announced that the conservatives might have this as part of their 2015 general election manifesto. its not happening now and is yet to be formally announced. before it can come into effect, the torys need to win the next election and then it needs to pass through parliament. El Cid
How did people used to cope before there were benefits? Why can't we do the same as they did? We used to have a society were by people looked after other poorer people; but now everything is too big. More extended and broken families, so Government blindly doles out cash. crazybaby
If the government don't bring in more apprenticeships to cope with this, then I can see the ones who can't get employment and end up in a continuous cycle of training going into a depression. It's completely nuts
Xt500
We will be out of the EU soon so that won't be a problem. Not a prayer and we will never ever get a vote. They already know the answer which is why it will never happen. ---------- Post added 02-10-2013 at 18:40 ---------- If the government don't bring in more apprenticeships to cope with this, then I can see the ones who can't get employment and end up in a continuous cycle of training going into a depression. It's completely nuts What is nuts is a massive amount of money is spent on bringing in workers from abroad subsidising them and giving them housing and other benefits while sticking our own on the slag heap and continually withdrawing the little help they get. More broken families Parents don't live in the next street any more People are more selfish & greedy People prioritise more money to buy bigger houses, more holidays and material possessions Children don't want elderly parents living with them any more Who will look after the elderly parents if both are out working?
