Anna Glypta
No it doesn't to me either, but then I never mentioned anything about slaves, pyramids or god. And you never discussed anything to do with the threads topic either.

Happ Hazzard
Some countries have joined the Commonwealth that were never part of the Empire, Mozambique for one. I think Rwanda as well. It is a good thing IMO. We have a lot of things we can teach these countries. Some countries are currently trying to join: Israel, Palestine, Yemen, Afghanistan, Sudan and South Sudan. blake
Happ Hazzard, Israel are definitely not trying to join the Commonwealth. there was a time when Peres and others was floating around the suggestion that they could perhaps in the long term if they continued to build up better relations with the Gulf Arab states, then maybe join the Arab League, before everyone eventually realised, after thinking about it for a while, that it was a totally ridiculous idea. blake
Israel and Palestine could joint Commonwealth. lol. A one-off stupid seven year old article from late 2006, Israel is bad enough but how could they say Palestine when Hamas had only just won the legislative elections a few months before (though the Gaza coup had not yet happened). You can be as sure as just about anything that the Eurovision Song Contest will be the nearest thing to an international organisation Israel will join in the foreseeable future.
