Syrian migrants go on hunger strike in France,England is what they wan

Recommended Posts

it's turning very xenophobic, ever more publicly atm.

Massive ding-dong currently, after several socialist ministers jumped on Marine LePen's bandwagon in the mainstream media about Romas. The sort of outbursts that would lose a Minister his job here, and jelly-made-man Hollande hasn't condemned them as much/strenuously as he should have...probable because he's snookered by them for political survival.

Seems to be a race to the bottom where that is concerned, esp.after the Front National latest estimates in polls. Old Marine is running away with public opinion, I regret to inform. It's turning ugly in a few places.

Why would I, I love it...I was asking a question based on your belief about how Scots here would behave.

Hmmm...do you have snitches amongst the moderating team?

I've mentioned to noone my recent ban.

Why wouldn't you believe that was the obvious answer to your stupid question.

And I was answering on your belief the English wouldn't retaliate if it's citizens were being persecuted in Scotland.

Brave people fleeing the destruction of their homeland and trying to make a better life for themselves and their children.

How do you equate running away with brave, the brave ones are still their fighting for their country, their friends and their families.

Brave, ready to face and endure danger or pain; showing courage.

What are they doing that makes them brave?

"We are treated like dogs in France and do not want to stay here," said one migrant, who said his name was Majid.

"Britain is a fair country, and that is why we want to go there - we will be treated will by the British government."

You don't need to wonder why, it's clearly stated in the article you linked to

So basically they are loved, given free shelter and food, and they are still not happy.

I've noticed this too. People get all foamy mouthed when the OP links to the DM, then you point out plenty of other papers are carrying the same story.

Bottom line is, they're trying to blackmail their way into this country.

I would let them starve to death before allowing them in.

And its always the same pathetic people.

Why not just stick to what I posted. I didn't say anything about what my belief was, I asked whether England could or would want to accommodate a couple of million dispossessed English people from Scotland given that some posters seem to believe that refugees should and would be accommodated by their nearest country.

Perhaps I should have used a better example, say people from the Republic of Ireland.

I think one of their grievances was being treated like dogs rather than human beings..would that be acceptable to you and your family if you were in their situation?

See my post above. Most do, over 1 million Syrians have been given refuge in neighbouring countries, but presumably you can imagine the effect that has on those countries infrastructure-social & economic? They might quite simply not be in a position to offer assistance. Conversely only 25,000 so far have sought asylum further afield..slight difference eh?

This relief effort is being funded by the international community, and it much easier to help the Syrians closer to home, it will also be easier for them to return home after the conflict. Traveling half way round the world is illogical unless they are just using this conflict as an excuse to settle here on a permanent basis.

How do you know?

He doesn't, he just makes stuff up to justify his opinion. ;)

Dogs are more often than not treated better than humans beings.

That may well be so, but the problem seems to be the view amongst some that everyone's fleeing Syria to come here, which these statistics demonstrate is not anywhere near the truth..try to maintain some perspective.

I don't think that was the perspective these complainers were coming from.

Attempting to save their children from this. DM sycophants would have a hard time grasping this though.

But you're forgetting skinz, they did it to themselves so they could come to England and get a free flat, food vouchers and people spitting in their faces.

I can see that that would be an odd view to have, what I haven't seen is anyone with that view, you must mix with an odd bunch of people if you know anyone that as made such a claim.

So what is their complaint, other than being treated like dogs which are usually treated better than humans.
