manzmanz
Thats all fascinating, thank you all for the information. What a lovely idea for whoever it is to keep it in their front garden so people can appreciate it.
Twitcher
Henry Wilson was also the Chairman of Tennant Bros. Millsands Bridge St. before Whitbread moved in. He would be Chairman in the 50s/60s. He obviously owned his Snuff mill as well. Ah, it might not be the same Henry Wilson of J & H Wilson then as he founded the company in 1833 but just seems a co-incidence with the mill being Westbrook Mill.....I loved the place... DUFFEMS
Go and have a look for yourself the monument is on a front garden so easy to spot! On your left going down Knowle Lane from Bents Green Methodist Church, you can't miss it because it's right at the front corner of the garden.
