Miss Cardingwells, Hucklow Road School.

Anyone else remember her....she taught clarinet. She was horrid!

I've heard her talked about by my Mum. What years were you there.

 

I learnt to play clarinet at Hucklow but later than Miss Cardingwell. I was taught by Mrs Boyson and Mr Howe.

I was taught by Miss Cardingwells in class. I learnt clarinet but I can't remember who taught me - it was probably her! She didn't smile a lot, a bit stoney faced really but I don't remember her as being horrid! Mr Howe was there as well but I don't remember him teaching me clarinet. I always thought it was Mr Bradley.

I was in Miss Cardingwells class,but was no good at music. Can't remember her being horrible but she was strict,think most teachers in those days were though.

I was in Miss Toes class before that and she was a right dragon,was determined to stop me writing with my left hand which probably accounts for my bad handwriting.

Just shows different interpretations and memories as I thought Miss Toes was lovely, so shocked when the next class was Miss Cardingwells and she made my school life awful from then on in.

Sounds like me and you were in the same classes Katie, I was in Mr Sisks class before Miss Toes then the last 2 years in Miss Cardingwells.

Do you know, I can't remember who's class I was in before Miss Toes, I remember that class as 2A. i remember Miss Smith in the infants, she used to pull your loose teeth out, painlessly!!
