Guest
Society changed, and not for the better when Space Raider crisps went beyond 10p a bag; thankfully the social upheaval the establishment predicted when the makers of Space Raiders crossed that rubicon, didn't happen. diksey
I wonder if any of the real old timers on here remember Reys crisps. They had a factory on Effingham Rd where the second hand care spares place is now. The family also owned the Norfolk Arms where the bus terminus was/is? just past Rivelin. I doubt 'health and safety' would be any too pleased with this little film, nevertheless its cute. Link . Came across this thread, the story has it that they took it to Barney Goodman to get it measured up for a suit. (click the link)
mad-dad
Burt's Hobgoblin spit roast steak flavour. 40g a bag and hand cooked. Box of 20 packets off ebay for £11 odd = about 58p a bag.

fatrajah
Does anyone remember Gold Star crisps from the early 60s? I think they were made by a firm on Bawtry Road.

tinfoilhat
I like the seabrooks Worcester sauce ones - not had any in ages. Salt and vinegar discos aren't bad either. I'm on a health kick now so I had these salt and vinegar peas (not a typo - actual peas) I got at Aldi - lower in fat you see. They were about as good as they sound.
