Uptowngirl
I think you're getting pron stars, escorts and prostitutes mixed up here?! There's a big difference between someone charging £200 for an hour of their time and someone changing £20 for a shag. I'm not sure what a pron star is, but if the hour of your time involves a shag for money I fail to see the difference.
avidcameron
When did being paid for sex get legalised? Is it only OK if it's being filmed? Soliciting is a crime but exchanging favours for £ is not illegal.

Vincero dOro
I would assume porno actors pay income tax where as prozies probably don't.
Plain Talker
It's their body, it's their life - they can do what they want surely? It's not illegal. yes, but many women are fed the lie (And believe it!) that somehow, flaunting your body for all to see, is being emancipated... Yes it's the perfect right of someone, who is a consenting adult, to do what they wish with another consenting adult, but I think we women should keep a little bit of "mystery"... Mr_Squirrel
I wonder why so many people have such a derogatory attitude to female sex workers in general. So what if women wish to make a living from working in porn or other sex related industries? Billions of people throughout the world are here as a result of sex and will engage in sex themselves. Only those with hangups about sex will frown upon what is regarded as 'the oldest profession in the world'. Porn is just a modern extension of that. If one disapproves of porn - dont watch it! I think they must kid themselves on it's ok. Maybe some people think it's going to be an easy way to make money (being paid to do something you enjoy!). But then you read about porn stars taking drugs, being unable to have normal relationships, being caught up in the whole sleazy scene and unable to quit ... Any glamour that's attached must quickly wear off. The film Boogie Nights is brilliant on this topic. Indeed. I know of people working in offices and factories that also take drugs, become alcoholics, are unable to form/maintain relationships and so on. 'Do these life difficulties' only apply to porn stars? I think not.

I do not think you can make such generalised comments-it seems you are attempting to present your own viewpoint in an acceptable and normal light.
