truman
I oppose anything that detracts. Does priming the pump mean anything to you? Detracts what? If foreign investment in the UK means more jobs then are you for or against it?

Mecky
Detracts what? If foreign investment in the UK means more jobs then are you for or against it? It detracts because money money will leave the UK than what is put in, otherwise why bother to invest? It's almost as bad as British people investing in the UK but then squirreling away the income it generates in an offshore account for tax reasons. At least the Chinese are somewhat blunt in that respect. So in the near future with all this investment, do you think the UK is going to be King of the Jungle? Anna B
Osborne and Johnson seem to doing a very good job in gaining new business and investment in China. 16,000 jobs pending in Manchester due to Chinese investment. How can Sheffield benefit? Too little, too late. Other countries are way ahead of us. We should have been in there ten years ago. Now we're picking up the crumbs. That's down to Ken & Gordon. ---------- Post added 15-10-2013 at 12:48 ---------- So you don't believe foreign investment in the UK is good? Mecky wants a system where foreign and UK investors simply hand over their cash so it can be handed out to folk because there are no jobs due to lack of investment. Not Thatcher who shut down the UK in the first place then?
GLASGOWOODS
George and Boris in China.. Sounds like a documentary about a couple of retired gay-men taking in the sites and culture..

Mecky
Gideon & Boris has more of a ring to it. Well both are hopeless and don't have a clue about anything, but at least Boris tries to pass off his incompetence by trying to make out he's dopy
