how can we find the solicitor my friend used to buy his house and didnt bother to pick up the deeds, he cant even remember where he went to the office! thinks it was about 10 years ago

Did he use a building society?If he still has a mortgage on it they'll have them..but I don't think they'll let your friend have them..

No. Land Certificates were abolished with effect from late 2003.

I remember him showing me the solicitors letter, but he's not even saved any paperwork, or if he did his ex would have dumped it, no mortgage he paid cash when he bought it from council. He's a hard worker, but no good with paper work.(never saves owt) I have printed your help for him, thanks
