Bestlad
Watched diary of a wimpy kid yesterday with my 6 year old daughter and this phrase is used. She asked what it meant. In my mind its a detrimental name for a homosexual but I brushed over it and got out some sweets. How would you explain it to your child: specify their age

Bestlad
It's a pg rating. My daughter is fully aware of homosexual relationships, she knows if a person makes you happy then that's all that matters. It was the phrase I didn't know how to describe and I do not want her repeating!
taxman
I first heard the phrase in the second series of Auf WiedeRsehen Pet on TV back in the 80's.
