Safeguarder Posted October 20, 2013 Share Posted October 20, 2013 Wondering why police were present on the area across from the old Durham Ox pub (Cricket Inn Road/Broad Street) earlier today, about 5pm. The cordon in place seemed to be enclosing the grassed area close to the railway bridge. Feels ominous ..... ---------- Post added 23-10-2013 at 21:37 ---------- Sheffield Star has today given me the answer to my question about why a police cordon was present on Cricket Inn Road/Broad Street. It would appear that a 16 year old girl was allegedly raped there between 5.30 and 6.30am Sunday morning. Poor girl! A 30 year old man has been charged with the offence.
