Bank raid in rotherham

police probe is under way into a ram raid at a South Yorkshire bank.

 

 

The HSBC branch at the Tankyard Shopping Centre, Wickersley, Rotherham, was raided at 9.15am this morning.

 

A white Nissan Qashqai with four men inside repeatedly reversed into the glass window of the bank.

 

Three of the men got out of the car, ran into the bank and stole cash from a cash machine before fleeing.

 

They fled in the car which was later found abandoned on Black Carr Road, Wickersley.

 

Witnesses or anyone with information should call South Yorksire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111,

 

quoting incident number 266 of October 25.

On mainland Europe most cashmashines blast all the cash with a paint making it useless when it gets rammed.
