marksc
Something Nasty in the Woodshed live at The Greystones Greystones Rd, Sheffield, S11 7BS Saturday 23rd November 2013 A welcome return for Something Nasty In The Woodshed following their triumphant show last year. The band won over a new audience and made new friends with their their unique sound and delivery that saw people leaping to their feet and dancing at the end of the show. This is traditional music with a difference. Something Nasty in the Woodshed deliver a potent mix of drum-driven electric and acoustic instruments with the emotive sound of the great highland bagpipes. Their gut-punching sound has captivated audiences wherever they have played with a mix of self-penned storybook songs and revamped traditional themes. Taking the jigs and reels from the attic of their ancestors and plugging them into the national grid, their following grows and grows and by the end of each set the audience is often louder than the band! One of the finest and most exciting bands on the folk festival circuit return to The Greystones on Saturday 23rd November 2013. “The band's pulsing electric sound gets one of the main stage's biggest reactions of the day…" Spiral Earth (UK Folk & Roots Ely Festival) "What a night! They helped make that Sunday night the best night in Moor & Coast history." Chris Roper (Moor & Coast Festival) "Something Nasty blew the audience away with their high energy folk-rock performance and by popular demand, are invited back next year." Mike Kirrage (Gate to Southwell Festival) Tickets are only £7.00 each (advance) and are available from Venue: daily until 6pm Online: http://www.cliffordevents.co.uk and http://www.wegottickets.com/event/233873 ---------- Post added 09-11-2013 at 16:23 ---------- Just two weeks tonight!
