katerina
Used to go every Friday night with my Uncle Bill and Aunt Alice Crossley lived on Chelmsford Street. Always had nibbits and a bottle of fizzy Vimto by the end of the night my eyes would be stinging and watering with all the cigarette smoke! I remember the smoke used to set my eyes running. They had dances too, I had some silver shoes when I was around 7 yrs.
crookedspire
Does anyone have any photos of this club in it's heyday I've never seen any . The building is well and turly derelict complete with indoor garden no idea what is planned for it the houses below are also derelict but the street still has some cobbles under the tarmac. Like others have said I'm amazed that an developer has not come along and built on the empty sites around Attercliffe it has good transport links , Supertram stops not far from Meadowhell quite a few buses run though it. Is their an reason for this lack of development?
