PeteM01
There was a cryptic message on the opening times board tonight. Looks like it will be shutting for refurb week beginning 11th January. No idea where the poor souls in inhabit the place will have to go..... ...are there no workhouses?...are there no prisons?...... It's the end of an era...not a particularly good era, but an end nonetheless. I never really warmed to the Welly although I have fond memories of the early days of the C&C. Onwards and upwards? Bilge
Where? The Ship, or the Wellie? He must mean the Ship. I'd love to see the Wellie hipsterfied, or just made into a normal pub, but it's not happened yet.

taxman
Apparently the Wellie refurb is being held up over arguments over who owns the free hold. James won't talk to Neil and Sheila, only Richard, but Richard refuses to talk to Neil and Sheila as well. Impasse!

Surely not an impasse though, property law is pretty tight...
