barleycorn
I remember in the 70's we lived on Broomhall flats, High Monmouth, there was one room that was always cold and my nan refused to even enter it, when she came to live with us. My dad was woken in the night being choked more than once, and mum had things done to her she would not elaborate on, with kids. I remember she had it exorcised, a few years later I went back to collect a delivery from a nearby address, and mentioned I used to live at address mentioned, and she said how a man's body had been found there, he'd been dead a while before being found or before we moved in. I'm sorry but you just cannot dispel ghost sightings or stories. trackrunner
When I was a kid, my sister lived in a house that terrified me. I always felt that someone was there following me around. I loathed that house and was glad when it was demolished. I've never experienced that fear anywhere else.

Not really... The incubus hallucination is associated with the subject's belief that an intruder is attempting to suffocate them, usually by strangulation. Why opt for a supernatural explanation when there is a far more likely, and rational, one available? Cheyne, J. (2003). "Sleep Paralysis and the Structure of Waking-Nightmare Hallucinations".
