I highly recommend the Manor Operatic Society’s show at the City Hall – this year it’s Snow White. Tickets available from the society or via the City Hall website. Prices as follows:

Stalls £15.00 Adults £14.00 Over 60’s and 16 & Under

Circle £14.00 Adults £13.00 Over 60’s and 16 & Under

Balcony £10.00 Adults £9.00 Over 60’s and 16 & Under

We had balcony seats last year and had a fine view.

Just because we love panto, we’ve also booked for a couple of shows at the Library Theatre in January. All the Library Theatre productions can be found here:

We saw Easy Street’s pantomime last year (Anastasia) and it was very well done, so looking forward to this one.

We’re also hoping to see Handsworth & Hallam Theatre Company’s pantomime ‘Aladdin’ which is on at the Montgomery Theatre from Wednesday 22nd January to Saturday 25th January 2014.

Tickets:£12.00 Adults £10.00 Child £40.00 Family (2 Adults & 2 Children)

Tickets: 07586 293546 or tickets@hhtc.info

We’ve seen HHTC’s productions before and they are AMAZING. Unfortunately we missed last year’s show because we didn’t realise they had moved from the University Drama Studio to the Montgomery Theatre so never saw any advertisements until it was too late.

Shows at the small local theatres have the advantage that wherever you sit, you are not far from the action. The City Hall is (obviously) a much bigger venue but the MOS show is a bigger show, so it all evens out…

I hope you get to see a good show, and your son enjoys it.
