chipX Posted November 1, 2013 Share Posted November 1, 2013 Does anyone have any advice or even know of anyone in the south yorkshire area that would be able to cut out and weld up a problem such as this ? [picture is not my own car but one with the exact same problem] I would be afraid to trust something like this to a normal backstreet welder that is used to spot welding a patch over a hole in a sill or welding a backbox onto a exhaust .... It needs the correct thickness and grade steel and full seam welding by someone that understands that its an important part of the chassis... Preferably someone that has restored cars/prepared motorsport chassis etc I would be inspecting the work and if it wasnt up to my standard I wouldnt be paying for it.
