davidpw
Kershaws must have had a dozen or so seafood sellers in Sheffield in the 70's, are there any still around? I know the company is still about as I bought some cockles from one of their guys in a pub called the 5 lamps in Derby about 2 weeks ago. leso1
No idea Dave, I've certainly not seen any in ages but maybe I don't go in the right pubs anymore.
Bypassblade
No idea Dave, I've certainly not seen any in ages but maybe I don't go in the right pubs anymore. You used to see the shellfish-man every weekend in most pubs, white coat on, basket over shoulder Vinny who used to do Hackenthorpe used to sell sweets amongst other things as well as cockles and such. Don't think I've seen one in 30 years.
