prescottspie
Ronseal - I'm trying to make a special kind of pinhole camera, for which I need a long, thin strip of metal with a series of identically sized, perfectly round pin-sized holes equally spaced along its length. I know it's a bit of a long shot, but i thought as this *is* the city of steel and packed full of savvy engineers and surely enough factories that somewhere will have the kit and kaboodle to do this, that it might be worth an ask! If anyone could advise me, or help me, please post here or drop me a pm. Thanks!

prescottspie
Ronseal - what it says on the tin. ie, "I need an engineer to help me make pinholes!"
RootsBooster
Definitely not helping him now (that was awful) ---------- Post added 04-11-2013 at 23:16 ---------- Ron Seal closed his account years ago. Over a woman. I think that was Ron Glover (...for Pete's sake, someone get me Mel's coat, I'm gonna bed)
ronthenekred
Definitely not helping him now (that was awful) Maybe "Ronseal" was a clue as to the tin he's using for the camera he's engineering. Why he would do that is another question. I'm also clutching at straws..probably.
prescottspie
Heh, no, I'm wanting to make a timeslice camera, to make "frozen in time" motion film like in the Matrix etc (aka "bullet time")
adamf
We went to a pinhole camera workshop at the Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield a few years ago. The teacher handed a pinholed piece of sheet metal (about 2 cm square) to each family. I'd suggest phoning or e-mailing to ask where they get theirs. xdbx
Heh, no, I'm wanting to make a timeslice camera, to make "frozen in time" motion film like in the Matrix etc (aka "bullet time") Can't work out how your idea would work as bullet time/time slicing requires a complex system of multiple cameras being fired off sequentially.
